Some people choose to earn degrees in professional poverty. Trying to live on the cheap.
This is a test for both wholesale traveler RTAs as well as non-RTA retail paying non-tax deductible travelers. Those who try to hold onto what little they have, without working to invest in their future, end up with peanut dividends in more ways than one. All because they don't know how to read.
Folk who stay brok never consider the aftermath of their "instant gratification" impulse decisions.
TEST: Ever see an advertisement that really catches your eye? Well, examine (really examine) THIS particular "bargain"
Wait a sec! Don't get too happy!
Notice where the * symbol appears next to those so-called irresistable prices? Makes it looks like you are saving hundreds of dollars, right?
Look again...Click "Terms and Conditions."Another note: The people who answer the "convenient" toll-free number are not travel professional, like the serious RTA. They are call center specialists with a script full of ways to reel you into "their deal." Oh the "lucky bargainer" gets a deal with them alright. The "lucky bargainers" names ends up on a calling list, you end up giving them an email address that fills your mailbox with spam.
So, what's the real deal? How about the deal that goes like this:
You and the people you know are going to travel, ANYWAY. Why not get paid back at least 60% of the commissions that the travel vendors keep, and all you have is taking home a bunch of brochures and pictures that cannot be written off on your taxes? "Duh!"
If you travel, you have two choices: Tax deductible, or non-tax deductible.
If the price of a room in a hotel, a seat on a plane, a location at a resort and a stateroom on a cruise get you where you want to go, because YOU chose to go, not because you have to sit in a time share meeting to get a good deal with relentless sales people who waste, on an average, at least 4 hours of your time without a bathroom break....then what makes sense....
To be, or not to be with YTB....that is the question. We think you know the answer.

What's worse: After people "cheap-trip", they still end up
with nothing more than getting back "peanuts" on their tax return,
because they did not have the benefit of owning their OWN home based travel
business. The best one by the numbers and the results is YTB Travel & Cruises hands down. YTBLA.OB on the AMEX.
Let's all start teaching others how to Start traveling on-the-smart with our YTB businesses, and not on-the-cheap because "Terms and Conditions" give you their "terms". Those who don't read end up in less than favorable

YTB is the Rolls Royce. The Maybach. The Mack Truck of all home based businesses because with YTB everybody truly can choose to win, if they work and don't expect instant results. Two to five years with THIS company, if you listen, you will be making a hefty income. We may look like we're "nuts" but in the end, the mighty oak tree of time and money freedom stand strong.
Other squirrels die and leave nothing, trying to hold onto their nuts.
Or sit and do nothing and remain the same or worse.
All others travel companies that are home based pale in comparison to YTB Travel. We did not say they are bad companies, folks either want a Rolls or a Volkswagon. Both are vehicles....but one is worth so much more in the long run, isn't it?
(Travel Weekly names YTB #26 in overall travel for 2007, (was number 35 in 2006 without even being on the radar. We were number 11 in leisure travel, and now in the upper top 10 of all agencies in the United States.)
Buckle up. We're just warmin' up y'all....

Here's a lesson in standing for what you believe in the midst of the stormy times of your business, life and relationships.

Rainbows and Lightning Strikes.
(Her husband's name is Steve.)
Happy Monday night! Hope you have recovered from the most challenging day of the week.
I played library and then played taekwondo. Both were challenging, but at the end, all is well and good for the spirit.
Yesterday evening Steve ventured outside the porch to snap photographs of the storms and rainbows. I stayed inside the porch, ready to dive under one of the white wicker couches if lightning struck too closely. (I was caught in a wicked storm one summer day and was almost struck by lightning, but that's another scary story.)
Life can have both rainbows and lightning strikes, good things and bad things all happening at once.
And in the end, the storm passes and the sun shines again.

Here is some
info researched from YTB Level 5 National Sales Director Bill Hoffmann's website, constructed it into a poem. (See last paragraph for link).
into a blog at PowerTeam Leader Cynth'ya's personal author webportal...click below:
$$$ GASOLINE FOR $1.00 A GALLON--YEP!
Everyone is talking about gasoline prices these days. Anyone with a viable, reputable home based business (especially YTB folks) should be shouting "happy happy joy joy!"
Here's the Poem...doesn't take much to inspire true poetic verse at $4.15 per gallon!
Baby Steps to Success We all have 24 hours in any given day. Realize that YTB is a HUGE, very prestigious, well respected & ever expanding, top of the line international travel agency. Is it worth putting in at least 15 minutes on a consistent daily basis?
Remember the movie starring Bill Murray (What About Bob?)
Success comes in taking"baby steps." Baby-stepping your way thru any project or business is far better than sprinting inconsistently on your own. If you worked 4 years part time on your job could you make a $10,000 bonus? YTB has proven over and over that people can make a $10,000 bonus in side of 2-5 years if they choose to follow the proven leaders who have done the same, and had NO experience, and had NO time in their life. It's not the time one has or does not have...it's the power of the system that makes those $10,000 bonuses repeatedly.
So the $10,000 question is this:
How much are you willing to commit in learning in order to create long term lasting residual income and time leverage for the good of helping others now, and for the future of YOUR family? (Uh huh, that's what we thought...smile)
If any RTA absolutely wants to succeed with YTB, and that RTA has a strong belief in their personal "WHY" for building a personal business for their present & future choices, that is the reason for these corporate & individual director resources.
Don't be afraid of making mistakes. That is how successful people learn. Success is a process. Let's join hands and learn from those who know how to build this correctly. NO ONE is a success without learning from those who have set the proven pattern.
No one can be successful at anything until they see their failures as lessons in maturity for success. Because if you hang around four broke friends chances are very likely that you might be the fifth.

![]() Mr & Mrs. James Prewitt, Dallas Texas.
YTB Circle of Champions Millionaries YTB Level 4 YTB National Directors With a strong marriage, healthy children and solid careers drawing six-figure incomes, life seemed good for high school sweethearts James and Marcia Prewitt. The couple thought so, too, as they enjoyed a relatively contented ride along lifes path. Everything changed, however, once they had children.
After all the years we were married and waited to have a family, things werent going the way we had always envisioned, now that we had one, James says. We were always at work. Our kids were the first ones dropped off and the last ones picked up each day." Struggling to find time to spend with one another, this spiritual pair began to pray and asked God to bring something into their lives that would give them the freedom to build a life more conducive to quality family time. They read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, which opened their minds to concepts important to their current journey. "The author talks about leveragedoing less and earning more, explains James. It defined being rich as when your passive incomethe income received from not working your jobis more than it costs you to live. We were receiving large incomes, but it came from going to work every day. It seemed we were in the WRONG BOAT going down the WRONG stream." James was a corporate finance director and Marcia, a certified public accountant, was a vice president at a Fortune 500 firm. It occurred to the Prewitt's that the harder they worked, the less time they had to spend with their children. We were both good at our jobs and thats the direction we were headed; we started to look at other avenues, James says. | ||||||

How can what we have in YTB as well as our other collective talents among all of us as RTAs, Reps and friends and family help people while they go about their daily grind? How can we share YTB with others to help them by combining just two hours of our individual time each week that's saturated with Hell's Kitchen, Flava of Love, Yo' Mama Can't Dance, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Duel, and Deal or No Deal (that's about a total of at least FOUR hours of wasted time) to help bring more time and money into people's lives so they can live life, instead of life living them?

There is a lot of 'player-hatin' that many RTAs and Reps, both new and not so new will be facing as they build their goals through a YTB business personal ownership website or an optional Independent Marketing opportunity. The best way to handle any kind of "gripe" is to understand two things:
1. YTB is not looking for people who don't want to change their lives.
2. Regarding the previous statement, neither are you.
First, go back into the Bill of Rights. It is a REAL legal document. Basically it says that YTB cannot change...EVER, the pay plan and they CANNOT take away ANY of the residuals, regardless of who happens to be at the helm of administration.
Next: As far as "YTB charging too much," hopefully did not spend $500 last Christmas that they couldn't right off, or $500 in lottery tickets over the past year, or own Ipods or X-boxes or go to the movies at $25 at the movies twice a month. YTB pays out a full 90% of the $449.95 back INTO your booking engine. (This can be checked out just by contacting their legal department (YTB's contact info is found in the "About Us" link). As far as the maintenance fee of $49.95 overhead (which is EASILY refunded month after month if people simply follow those who got their monthly license feel completely reimbursed inside of 30 days forever) to run one's multi-billion dollar inventory (that's $1.60 per day business overhead if one chooses NOT to not franchise to others) so we don't have to, the reality is we only end up paying as RTAs just under $20 to run it, with the rest going to support it.
In the words of Rick Ricketts: We are all called to do something. In the story of David and Goliath, did you know why David chose 5 stones? It's because Goliath had 4 brothers. David wanted to make sure that if he had to, he could finish the job he started once and for all.
Our livves are about paying a price to get the things we desire for ourselves, our families, and in turn, to help others. If we look at ourselves as we prepare to face the world everyday for a portion of a dollar, while Uncle Sam takes away the rest if we have no homebased business vehicle, then say this before leaving your bathroom mirror each and every day:
MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL--WHO IS THE CAUSE OR THE CURE FOR ALL MY PROBLEMS?
For those who are Christians and/or who believe in a higher positive power---we were given 5 stones with YTB.
1. The Travel Booking Engine
2. The Optional Marketing Plan for Reps
3. The Back Office with the Rep Resource Center and Travel Portal Training
4. Red Carpet Days at Headquarters
5. CRTA Trainings, and many more stones to use in our Support Family, Team Vision.
For those who relate to the biblical story: God did not throw the stones for David. YTB will not change anyone's life if they don't pick up the slingshot and aim YTB at the Goliath financial and stressful challenges in their lives.
So bottom line, the next time somebody calls you on the phone, and tries to berate your business, tell them this "Just keep watching, I'm not quitting."
Go back to the basics. There's enough Jerry Springer for people if they want bad news.

What Kendrick knows about sales:
We all sell something. We sell ideas. We sell products. We sell "dreams."
We have also all be prospects and all prospects are CONDITIONED to say "NO" out of fear or uneasiness.
Kendrick teaches that even when someone is looking for what a person has to offer, they have to KNOW that it will make a difference in their life or their own business or they will still reject out of conditioning.
But Kendrick Cleveland has some good news for all of us. He has perfected an alternative way to the hum-drum sales methods that people tend to run away from, and instead has proven that we all can triple our results. So if you only sign up 1 RTA a month, you can triple that, or more. It just depends on how much a person is willing to learn his method of sales approaching from "emotions" and not from features and benefits.
Kendrick says, "The secret is out there. It's being coveted by some of the top sales professionals in the world. They don't want to share it (for obvious reasons), and I don't think that's fair. The secret has never before been revealed to the public... until now."
Check out Kendrick's free newsletter at the highlighted weblink, MaxPersuasion.com
Who is Kendrick Cleveland?

For more than two decades, KENRICK E. CLEVELAND has dedicated himself to perfect the techniques, the skill, the "art" of influence. Drawing from a diversified career base that includes an extensive sales background coupled with experience in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnosis, Mr. Cleveland created a model of persuasion that is so effective that it remains the benchmark of excellence in this field.
Kenrick's track record for success began early when he set the world's record in health spa memberships sales - bringing in over $72,000 in fees in a single month. Building on his success, he became the youngest general manager and then regional manager of the nation's largest health spa chain. And, at each new level, Kenrick set new records and achieved new levels of success.
In Boise, Idaho, Kenrick transformed a failing health club that was losing $30,000 per month into a profit-making juggernaut by increasing sales and showing a $30,000 profit in 60 days.
Color System Technologies had tried unsuccessfully to create a hiring profile, using the services of two different psychological teams. Then Kenrick came on board and implemented his success model which was credited with saving Color System more than $l00,000 in consulting fees. Not only did the model prove invaluable in the hiring function, it was also used to influence and motivate new staff to perform at their maximum. The resulting increases in speed and accuracy broke all existing records for excellence.
At Home Fed Savings and Loan (now Home Fed Bank), Kenrick used his strategies for influence and persuasion in teaching trainers responsible for staff education. Kenrick's training was applied to every level of the corporate hierarchy - from the Vice Presidents in the boardroom to the tellers on the bank floor. Home Fed credits this training with increasing their cross sales ratio by more than a third and their net deposits by $1 billion.
"You hold the key to sales success undreamed of by most sales people"
--Jay Abraham
When Jay Abraham put together his Protg training to teach the skills in marketing that made him famous, he asked Kenrick to teach these high-level consultants how to use persuasion skills. ."
Take advantage of these skills to boost your income now. You'll never hear "never" again.

Kendrick has a STRONG background in NLP, and breaks it down in very simple terms.

GUIDANCE. . . ALL OF US NEED IT, NO MATTER HOW LONG WE'VE BEEN ON THIS EARTH.
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word
Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance!
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.
If God has done anything for you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.
And I Hope You Dance !
Beat the winter blues with these 5 sure-fire tips.During the winter, most of us get at least a slight case of the blues, when we underperform, oversleep and overeat. Im not talking about SAD, here Seasonal Affective Disorder because that calls for a doctors diagnosis. Im talking about your run-of-the-mill winter blues (you know the mopes) and, for them I offer my favorite anti-blues strategies.
1. Get some sun. Weve known just about forever that lack of sunshine can bring on the winter blues. So even though my bare feet dread hitting the ice cold hardwood floor in the morning, I take my walk. Religiously.
2. Watch your cravings. Who doesnt put on weight in winter? (If you dont, I beseech you. Keep it to yourself.) Ive read that feeling cold makes the body go into self-preservation mode, craving foods that will heat it up fast, like carbs. Me, Im making a new point of eating high-fiber snacks between meals, cooking low-fat versions of my favorites and exercising more. Which leads us to #3.
3. Get thyself to a gym (or just go for a good brisk walk). This is nothing new, but it is eternal: exercise is like a magic pill for beating the blues. Its good for the heart, good for the mind, good for the gluteus maximus and, therefore, good for the self esteem. Enough said.
4. Get out, get about. Weve heard about all the
ways social interaction does us good. A recent study of fruit flies same as
us, right? found that more social fruit flies even sleep better. So even when
its cold and Im grouchy and I have to scrape the car windows, I make sure
I get out there to see friends and enjoy the connection we all need. (And take your YTB Business Cards with you!)
5. Get out of Dodge. Sometimes the obvious answer
is to leave where its cold and go where its warm. For the past three winters,
Ive headed to Florida for at least a week. (Palm trees, warm breezes, good rum,
the whole shebang.) Budget permitting, its my surest of sure-fire winter blues
solutions. And for you as an RTA, it's TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
So Go FAM and Go Glam!
In closing: If you keep on moving forward, never mind the OOPS as you reach out to others, and keep in memory the people who made a way before you, then one day, you too will be on stage and we WILL celebrate with a dance of victory in unity! God bless your mood, your attitude, and your business growth.
What bettter way that to learn from "The Best in YTB" TEAM VISION!
Everyone who "Trys Out" for a YTB business will only make it if they practice Practice PRACTICE!
Rehearsals come in the form of Creating A List of People who are also, like you, "Tryin' to Release That Pressure!"
All you need is 3 who know 1 each, and your PowerTeam will set you free! (Did you know out of all the RTAs, over 140,000....only 4% are in their PowerTeam. That just means they're more room for everyone who wants to be the Hardest Working RTAs in YTB Travel International!
Dios los benigas! (God bless you!). Let's boogaloo all the way to the top, the TIP top, the VERY TOP!
And amidst all else, when you think you are having a tough time at building yourself up to build your business...take a lesson from some neat 3rd graders. Open your mind to
